“The Stambaugh Middle School Band will strive for excellence at all times.  Our success is a direct result of each student’s determination and participation.  With a hardworking student body, a commitment to outstanding musical achievement, a wonderful school, a supportive community, and a good relationship between the director, parents, and students, our band will create a lasting tradition of excellence. ”

Meet the Director

Jeffrey Robinson, a dedicated and seasoned educator in music, hails from Polk County, Florida. His journey into music began in the sixth grade as a percussionist at Lakeland Highlands Middle School, marking the start of a lifelong passion. He continued his musical endeavors through the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Bartow High School, further solidifying his foundation in music.

Jeffrey pursued higher education at Florida Southern College, where he earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree in 2019. His college years were vibrant and diverse, participating in band, orchestra, and choir, showcasing his versatility and commitment to music. Furthering his education, he is set to receive a Master of Music Education degree from The Florida State University in the summer. Jeffrey's pursuit of excellence didn't stop there; he also holds a professional certificate in Composing and Orchestrating for Film and TV from Berklee Online, demonstrating his breadth of knowledge and skill in the field.

Before joining Stambaugh Middle School in 2019, Jeffrey contributed his expertise as a percussion instructor at Bartow High School. His impact at Stambaugh has been significant, growing the program in both the quantity of students and the quality of performances, with the bands achieving Excellent and Superior ratings at district Concert Music Performance Assessments.

Jeffrey is a member of several prestigious music associations, including the Florida Bandmasters Association, Florida Music Education Association, National Association for Music Education, and he is a proud brother of the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity. His involvement extends beyond education into community music groups such as the Hollingsworth Winds, the Florida Philharmonia Orchestra, and the Bartow Adult Concert Band, where he continues to share his talent and passion for music.
